$10K reward offered for info on suspect who threw Molotov cocktail at N.J. synagogue

The Essex County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a man suspected of throwing a Molotov cocktail at a Bloomfield synagogue early Sunday morning.

The office said it was working closely with the Bloomfield Police Department to identify and find the man, but as of Monday afternoon no arrests had been made.

The incident occurred at 3:19 a.m. at the Temple Ner Tamid, Bloomfield Police announced Sunday afternoon. The Molotov cocktail did not burst into flames, and there were no injuries and minimal damage to the temple. The man then led down the driveway, police said.

Bloomfield Police released images of the suspect on Sunday.
