Reward offered for info on dumped dog

WARREN TWP., Ohio (WKBN) — A reward of $2,150 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the person who dumped a dog that was found dead in Warren Township.

Jason Cooke, of The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project, posted that the dog was found in a crate in a ditch near Davis Street in Warren Township.

He said the dog appeared to be recently deceased and extremely emaciated.

Those with information are asked to message The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project Facebook page or contact Officer Mohan at the Warren Township Police Department at 330-824-2545.

Photos of the dog are posted on the group’s Facebook page, but those photos may be considered graphic to some people.

The Mahoning County Dog Warden is also asking for help after finding a dead dog on Joseph Street behind the Oak Hill Cemetery in Youngstown.

According to the Dog Warden’s Facebook page, the male dog was found wrapped up in a tarp, tied up with cables and was on a road with no vehicle access.

He was a pit bull mix and wasn’t microchipped nor was he wearing a collar.

There are no visible signs of injuries to the dog.
