Reward offered in Gun and Reel theft

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives offered a $5,000 reward Monday for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person or persons responsible for the theft of guns from Gun and Reel Sports last week. The announcement was made in a press release from the St. Paul Field Division of ATF.

“We are asking for the public’s help to recover these firearms and bring the person or persons responsible for this crime to justice,” said Bernard Zapor, special agent in charge of the St. Paul Field Office.

Gun and Reel Sports was broken into during the early morning hours of June 23. Approximately eight handguns were taken. A window at the back of the building and a glass door on the front of the building were broken during the incident along with the glass display case holding the weapons.

Anyone with information regarding the crime is asked to contact the ATF at 293-2860 or the Jamestown Police Department at 252-2414.
