Reward offered in Missoula moose poaching

MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — A $2,500 reward is being offered for information about who is responsible for illegally killing a moose in the Missoula area last month.

The reward is being offered by The Humane Society of the United States and The Humane Society Wildlife Land Trust.

The Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Department says the female moose was shot and killed in the week prior to Nov. 25. The moose had a calf that most likely will not survive the winter.

There have been several other cases of wildlife being illegally killed in the Missoula area.

Anyone with information about poachings should contact Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks game wardens at 800-847-6668.
