The animal shelter helping a dog recover after it was set on fire, says the labradoodle is slowly getting better.

We first told you last week how a tan-and-cream Labradoodle was found on Lindsey Drive in Decatur “engulfed in flames.”

The dog was taken to Dog Days Rescue, where the pup continues to recover from its burns.

The shelter has named the dog Will and said he is “in good spirits, happy and obviously loves all of the love he’s being showered with.”

“The rest of his body still has quite a ways to go but he’s being a trooper,” the post said.

Currently, there is a $7,000 reward offered for any information that may lead to an arrest in this case.

An online fundraising campaign has also been started to help pay for Will’s medical expenses.

Anyone who knows anything about this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
