Edy, a Belgian Malinois, served the department and community as a dual-purpose narcotics/patrol K9 with his handler, Officer Ache, for seven years, said KPD.
During his time on the force, KPD said Edy located “countless illegal drugs, weapons and criminals with patrol”, saved lives and assisted multiple law enforcement agencies over his career.
KPD thanked Edy for his service to the Killeen Police Department and the City of Killeen.
Edy will now reportedly enjoy his retired life with Officer Ache.
