Why do you believe the local hero should be recognized or honored?

Krissy Webb is the co-founder and executive director of Student ACES, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to inspiring and developing young men and women of character, honor and integrity. Krissy has been in leadership positions in the non-profit sector for over 12 years where she has dedicated her career to inspiring a new generation of leaders. Through Student ACES, she has positively impacted over 50,000 high school student athletes and has taught them leadership skills, values, and character education to be successful men and women in the classroom, the athletic fields and in their communities.

She has significantly increased the number of students in the Student ACES program since 2013 and has been able to quadruple the amount of funds raised since inception. Under her leadership, Bank of America donated their bank building (2019) in Belle Glade to Student ACES which was transformed into the Student ACES Center (The SAC), a facility dedicated to helping high school student athletes reach their academic, athletic, and personal potential. Through the efforts of staff, community leaders and mentors, The SAC provides leadership, academic and athletic support for student-athletes in the Glades Region.

She is a certified instructor of Mental Health First Aid. Krissy lives in Palm Beach Gardens with her husband and twin daughters. Krissy is a mentor to hundreds of children and through her personal involvement and relentless dedication, has saved many lives. If Krissy is not with high school students, you will find her on the softball field with her daughters and the U-10 Lady Gators travel softball team, (of which) she is the head coach. She is a warrior for our youth and her passion is unwavering.
