Despite being the first DCEU hero to find real success, the future of Wonder Woman in the cinematic universe remains a big question mark. After news that Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman 3 would not be moving forward, James Gunn has suggested that the iconic hero will still have a role going forward. Pedro Pascal brought the necessary depth to his character that fans say carried the film. He is a villain that is easy to love and hate due to his varying qualities and circumstances. Maxwell Lord brings light to the perils of giving in to selfish desires and the troubles that capitalism can bring to an individual.

Carrying The Team

Despite being one of the best superhero teams of all time, Justice League was another huge letdown in the DCEU. It didn’t help that, going into the movie, Wonder Woman was the only hero who was successfully established on her own.
