Crimestoppers seeks information on gun stolen from St. Ignatius

Authorities are seeking information about a gun that was stolen from a vehicle in St. Ignatius in late April.

Three males were caught on camera around the vehicle on 2nd Avenue. The theft is believed to have taken place after 9 p.m. on April 26 or in the early morning hours of April 27.

The firearm stolen was believed to be a Ruger LCR .38, five-shot, hammerless revolver.

On April 27, 2023, the St. Ignatius Police Department received a report that a vehicle was unlawfully entered on 2nd Avenue some time between 9:00 p.m., April 26th, and the early morning hours of April 27. At least one firearm was reported stolen. The stolen firearm was believed to be a RUGAR LCR 38 – 5 SHOT COMPACT HAMMERLESS REVOLVER. Neighborhood surveillance cameras recorded 3 suspicious males in the area during the alleged time of the theft.
