Person robbed, vehicle stolen at gunpoint in Old West End; police investigating

The suspect was armed with a pistol, according to a police report.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Law enforcement are investigating an armed robbery and vehicle theft that occurred in the Old West End early Wednesday, according to a Toledo police report. 

Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Collingwood Boulevard after 1 a.m. regarding a robbery. Police said the victim had just parked at his residence when an unknown suspect approached him with a pistol.

The suspect demanded the victim’s car keys and the victim complied. The suspect then allegedly fled with the vehicle and other personal items. Police did not give a description of the vehicle in the report, but continue to investigate.
