Plymouth State student pleads for return of stolen necklace with father’s ashes in it

A Plymouth State University student is pleading for the return of a special necklace that contained the ashes of her deceased father.Julienne Curran says her car was broken into on Feb. 2 on campus. She said some money was stolen, but the necklace is invaluable to her. The necklace was stolen on the sixth anniversary of her father’s death. Curran says she keeps the necklace in the car because it helps her feel safe.Over the past 23 days, Curran has handed out more than 200 flyers on campus and to local businesses.In a plea to News 9, she said, “I’m really happy you got what you needed that night, I’m glad you got a warm place to sleep, I’m glad you got a little bit of money for some food or a drink, but I really need my dad back.” Curran adds that she won’t press charges if it’s returned and she’ll give a $200 reward to whoever brings it back. She’s hoping to get it back before she graduates later this year.
