Vigil and fundraiser to honor victims of King City mass shooting

A vigil and fundraiser will be held on Sunday to remember the victims of the King City mass shooting. Community members will gather to remember the four victims who were killed along with seven others who were wounded outside a birthday party on March 3rd. Sunday’s event starts at 11 in the morning at the VFW Hall on Bitterwater Road.Eleven people were shot, four of them killed, after a mass shooting at a party outside a King City home on North 2nd Street on March 3, 2024. Investigators have not released what type of firearms were used or how many rounds were fired. King City Police said that three masked gunmen wearing dark clothing got out of a stolen silver KIA and opened fire. They then left the scene and ditched the stolen vehicle in a vineyard on Apple Street outside of Greenfield. The car was found three days later. The Federal Bureau of Investigation and United States Marshals Service, as well as other local law agencies, are helping King City with this investigation.
