SAN DIEGO —
Federal investigators asked Sunday for the public’s help in locating a 13-year-old girl who disappeared with a man driving a car in Imperial County, according to FBI officials.
Investigators are offering a $10,000 reward for information about her or the man’s whereabouts, officials from the FBI San Diego office said on the social media site X, formerly known as Twitter.
Raine Gonzales of Brawley has been missing from her home since Dec. 10 after she was last seen with Lorenzo “Carlos” Guerrero in a silver Mercedes-Benz sedan with license plates number 5ZFS158.
Raine was last seen wearing light blue jeans and a black T-shirt, the FBI said. Guerrero was wearing dark blue jeans and a white Braves jersey with the No. 44 on the back.
“Due to the proximity of the missing child’s residence to the U.S.- Mexico border, we are asking for the public’s help in both the U.S. and Mexico,” said FBI spokesperson Kira Boyd. “It is our hope that offering a reward will help us locate Raine Gonzales quicker.”
The California Highway Patrol issued an Amber alert on the missing girl on Thursday. No additional details were available Sunday.
