A couple from Royston is desperate to find their beloved cat who disappeared on Christmas Day. Ben Hewitt and Emily Mackay moved to Hertfordshire in December 2022 – just weeks before their cat Norman went missing.

Ben and Emily mentioned that Norman was previously a rescue cat who had been abandoned and they are desperate to find him. In the desperate search, the couple have offered a reward of £1,000 to anyone who has information on the much-loved missing cat.

They hope the reward will encourage residents to search their properties and Norman will safely return home. They said: “Norman is a very home-loving cat and never stays out for more than a few hours

“We only moved to Royston at the beginning of December and think he must have been spooked by something while he was out exploring and can’t find his way home”.

The couple has spent the past six days knocking on doors and handing out hundreds of flyers asking local people to check their gardens and outbuildings as well as posting information on social media.

Whilst they have received calls from some people reporting sightings, so far none have been of Norman. Desperate to find Norman, the couple have now offered the reward for information leading to his safe return.

Ben and Emily said: “Norman is a much-loved member of our family and we just want him home. He was previously a rescue cat who had been abandoned and we can’t stand the thought that he is frightened and alone somewhere”.

“We have looked everywhere we can think of and are asking everyone living in and around Royston to look out for him and check in and around their properties. His previous history means he is quite shy and so we would ask who thinks they have seen him to contact us at 07872302764 or email benjaminjames.hewitt@gmail.com “.

Ben and Emily are happy to be contacted anytime as long as they find Norman.
