Turpin High School mascot swiped during reunion event

EAST END, Ohio (WKRC) – A wood carving of Turpin High School mascot is missing and there’s a reward for information that leads to its return.

The Spartan was stolen from the Turpin reunion area at Hock of Ages on Aug. 24.

The reunion took place at the American Legion Post on Wilmer Ave. near Lunken Airport.

The statue was on loan from the Turpin athletic director who had received it as a gift.

It stood around the Turpin RV that was the gathering area for the guests.

It’s believed the four foot tall, 40 to 50 pound statue was taken sometime after 11 that night.

A police report has been filed.

Contact Anderson Township Trustee Josh Gerth at (513) 833-3010 if you can help find it.

Or, just return it to the school.
