WINSTON-SALEN, N.C. — A 30-year-old man from Winston-Salem was last seen exactly one month ago.
TK, he would have called someone by now. A month is a very long time. A few days, maybe, you know he would have called his wife, he would have called my mom or something,” said brother, Deshawn Clowney.
Thomas “TK” Burton, better known as TK is a father and husband who disappeared July 29th. His wife Jacqueline Guzman said the last time she saw Burton was at a Citgo in Winston-Salem. The last phone call between the two, Burton sounded frantic.
“This isn’t normal for him,” said Clowney.
WSPD detectives said after multiple search warrants and speaking to known witnesses, they now know his last location was in Randolph County.
After a month of him being missing his family has started a GoFundMe that will serve as a reward to anyone that knows of Burton’s whereabouts. They’ve also partnered with H.O.P.E. Dealers Outreach, an organization that’s helping raise awareness on his disappearance.
“We’re going to make it through this together. Whatever we have to do to make sure he is found we will do,” said Frankie Gist, H.O.P.E Dealers Outreach founder.
For Burton’s family what makes this most difficult is Burton’s son.
“You know he has a one-year-old son who went to give some answers to. I would hate for him to get older and we still haven’t figured anything out and he’s asking, you know what’s happened. I can’t imagine living a life and you have no idea where or what happened to your father,” said Clowney.
