Reward offered in drive-by shooting death of 10-year-old girl

Authorities are offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killer who gunned down 10-year-old Jasayde Holder in an apparent drive-by shooting at a home on the 700 block of West Earl Drive in Vineland on the evening of July 4.

Jasayde was taken to Inspira Medical Center Vineland and later died of her injuries.

No arrests have been announced in the case and police are asking anyone with information to contact Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office Detective Christopher Johnson at 609-579-1431 or submit an anonymous tip at www.njccpo.org/tips.

Authorities have not said who was the intended target of the shooting.

Investigators are asking anyone who lives in the area of West Earl Dive, East Earl Drive, Park Towne Apartments, Diane Court, Mary Court and Shirley Court to share home surveillance camera footage from between the hours of 9:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on the night of the shooting.

Funeral services for Jasayde were held Saturday and attendees were asked to wear green, which was her favorite color.

She was recalled in her obituary as a “unique young girl” with her own style who enjoyed riding her bike, listening to music, and creating her own animations and short stories.
