CrimeStoppers offering $2k reward for missing dog following recovery of stolen car

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A $2,000 reward has been posted for those with information leading to the return of an aging dog after a car was stolen in Midtown in early May.

Memphis Police said they responded to the car being stolen at The Fresh Markey at 2145 Union Avenue. They were told that a black 2013 Infiniti G37 was taken on May 2 with a 15-year-old German Shephard/Husky mix dog in the car.

The vehicle has since been located but the dog — named Yoshi — has not, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).

The dog is likely in the Goodhaven or Millbranch areas of Whitehaven, MPD said.

No arrests have been made and this is an ongoing investigation, according to MPD.
