$1,000 cash reward offered for info on shooting death suspect

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Jonesboro police are asking for your help to find a suspect who they said shot and killed a person in their driveway.

According to an initial incident report, officers were called to the 700-block of Meadowbrook Street at 3:21 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17.

When officer Darius Johnston arrived, he found 48-year-old John Odoms, Jr., lying in the driveway.

Officers rendered aid to the victim until EMTs arrived and he was taken to the hospital. Jonesboro police said he died early Thursday, Jan. 19.

Six people were interviewed by police at the time of the shooting, but the report did provide details of the gunman.

As of Thursday, Feb. 16, no arrests have been made in the case.

The Jonesboro Police Department said on social media that CrimeStoppers of Jonesboro is offering a $1,000 cash reward for tips leading to the identification or arrest of the suspect(s).
