$3,000 Reward Offered for Lone Remaining Escaped Yakima Inmate

YAKIMA, WA – On Monday, 14 inmates escaped from the Yakima County Jail. The Yakima County Sheriff’s Office says 8 of the escaped inmates were arrested within 15 minutes and returned to the jail. On Wednesday, police caught 2 inmates in Yakima. On Thursday, 3 more were apprehended – one in Vantage, one in Moses Lake, and one in Yakima. Only one escaped inmate remains on the loose.

The US Marshal’s Service is offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to the capture of 31-year-old Fernando Gustavo Casteneda-Sandoval, from Yakima. Anyone with information is asked to call the U.S. Marshal’s Tip Hotline at (866) 865-TIPS, or Crime Stoppers of Yakima County at (800) 248-9980.
