Guns stolen from New Kensington store; 4 arrested

Four people have been arrested in connection to the theft of two dozen guns from a New Kensington shop, a case is being investigated by New Kensington police and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 learned Wednesday evening that four people have been taken into custody in Homestead related to this firearms burglary.An Audi was stopped by law enforcement at the intersection of West Street and East 15th Street. The ATF has confirmed four people were taken into custody from that location and the traffic stop is related to their firearms investigation where more than 20 guns were stolen from a gun shop.”ATF is out here investigating a firearms gun store burglary that happened a couple days ago, and we just have agents in the area tracking down leads,” Joseph Price, assistant special agent in charge, told Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 earlier in the day on Wednesday.About 25 firearms were stolen during the burglary at RC Firearms on Freeport Street early Monday morning, the ATF said in a statement. Investigators are trying to identify two people seen on surveillance video. (See image below)A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered.
