Pittsylvania Pet Center is hoping to find homeless pets forever homes just in time for the holidays.

The pet center is teaming up with Bissell Pet Foundation for the “Empty the Shelter – Holiday Hope” event.

The initiative reduces adoption fees to $25.

Pittsylvania Pet Center Director Brent Weinkauf says adoption fees are normally more than double that amount with it costing $75 to adopt kittens, cats and dogs and $155 to adopt puppies.

With the pet center at full capacity, Weinkauf says it’s a win for everyone.

“This a great opportunity for our loveable animals to find their fur-ever home, just in time for the holidays,” he said.
