Crime Stoppers of Wichita Falls needs your help to solve a cold case homicide, according to a media release

Esther Marie Holms was discovered injured and lying under bushes in the 1300 block of 11th Street on June 6, 1982, according to a media release. 

She had been beaten and raped, according to a media release. Holmes died from her injuries July 6, 1982. 

The 66-year-old was unidentified for several days until her daughter identified her, according to Times Record News archives. 

Holmes lived alone in an apartment on Keeler Street. according to TRN archives. She died in an Olney nursing home. 

Police have very little information about this murder and could use your help. 

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward up to $10,000 if a tip leads to an arrest and the board approves the reward.
